Design Course: Creating a Flower Farm to Look like a Cottage Garden
Have you ever wanted a mini-flower-farm or a cutting garden but you don’t want it long straight rows of the the same flowers? You want a gorgeous cottage garden that looks abundant and full but also focuses on production of your favorite cut flowers! Me too! Ever since I started growing, I knew I wanted a flower farm, but I also knew that I wanted it to look like a giant, gorgeous garden!
This 3+ hour webinar replay is a deep dive into JUST that. I previously designed most of my 1/2 acre property into a productive flower farm, while embracing the aesthetic of a cottage garden. Instead of long straight rows, I made beds full of a diverse mix of cut flowers, giving a beautiful romantic aesthetic but without sacrificing the production of flowers needed for bouquets and buckets! Currently, I’m doing the same at my new farm and designing numerous gardens of all different sizes that combine beauty, and productivity!
The webinar is recorded and is sent out after class to everyone who enrolled to rewatch as needed.
I will be covering:
Cottage Garden design with beauty AND production in mind
Designing for plant health, pollinators and beauty
Switching from grass to flower beds WITHOUT chemicals
Reducing weed pressure… organically.
Maximizing your space
Tips on how to get a “full” garden look, even when you’re cutting flowers.
Sample bed plans and grow lists you can use to remove the guesswork of planting
How to choose low care beautiful flowers, based off your own zone and climate
Incorporating natives and shrubs
Season prep and care to keep your garden abundant
Tried and True Perennial Lists to Invest In
Designing a cottage garden on the cheap
My favorite list of suppliers for cut flower seeds, bulbs and corms
Tips and Tricks that I’ve learned over the years
Mistakes to avoid
And much more!
Q&A time at the end for any further questions
Date: January 11th, 2025, 11am Pacific Standard Time
Webinar is on Zoom and the link will be sent out the week of class. This is a design class and it’s long and in-depth: bring a notepad and your pen!
No Refunds are given for webinars.
