TUBER GUARANTEE: Thank you for supporting our small farm! Your happiness is important to us! We guarantee your dahlia tubers will be true to ID and arrive in the mail with at least one eye, and a healthy tuber body. Please inspect your tubers upon arrival and contact us at microflowerfarm@gmail.com within 5 days of your order arriving if you have any concerns. Once the 5 days have passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers. Please understand we are not responsible for damage due to bad weather, pests, rot, poor field conditions, negligence, or plant performance.
MISLABELS: We take accurate labeling extremely seriously here at Micro Flower Farm, but sometimes a mislabel slips through. If your dahlia blooms and it’s not the variety you ordered, please contact us with photos, a copy of your order and we will do our best to resolve the mistake!
VIRUS POLICIES: Our Tubers and Fields are inspected and approved by the Washington Department of Agriculture. I aggressively cull my field of any suspicious plants during the growing season, randomly test, sanitize between plants and use several organic methods to keep pests controlled. That being said, by purchasing you accept the fact that dahlias sometimes get sick, just like any other plant, and virus is not 100% avoidable. Given that no one grows in a sterile environment, and virus can be spread easily by insects, we do not refund for virus.
DAHLIA TUBER SHIPPING FOR 2025:
All orders are shipped using USPS flat rate priority mail.
We only ship within the USA. This includes Alaska and Hawaii.
Tubers are shipped in April, starting April 1st and finishing on April 30th. We do not offer early shipping.
Shipping fee is a flat rate of $17 per order, no matter how few or how many are ordered.
Combined Shipping: We are a small family farm with a tiny shipping team (our family). Due to the high volume of orders that we get each year, combining shipping means that we have to slow way down in how fast we can get them out the door. But we are sympathetic to rising shipping costs (we have to pay them too so we get it!), so for 2025, we will offer combined shipping for multiple orders when the sum equals or surpasses $300.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to be eligible for this combined shipping offer, the orders must have the same shipping address at the time of order. If they do not, they’re not eligible. Changing the address after the order is placed is not an option.
LOCAL PICKUP: Unfortunately we are unable to offer local pickup this year. We moved to a new farm in 2024, and it is not currently set up to safely handle the amount of cars we would get for a pickup option.
CART: Your order is only confirmed once you checkout and receive an order confirmation number and email.
LIMITS: We are limiting certain varieties to ensure more people can grow some of the rarer dahlias! This means a limit PER household, not per person. If we suspect that you are using family members, friends or other means to get around this limit, all your orders will be subject to cancellation and a full refund.
SUBSTITUTIONS: We do not offer substitutions due to stock loss. If something unexpected happens with storage between your order and shipping, we will refund you the price of the tuber(s).
CANCELLATIONS: Once an order is placed it is final. We do not accept cancellations or changes to an order after it is placed. However, because we are a farm that is selling a perishable product, we reserve the right, at our own discretion, to cancel and fully refund any order, during our quality checks as we ship out our products.
TRADEMARKED VARIETIES: Our farm is a licensed seller for KA® dahlias. What does this mean? It means that the KA® brand is trademarked and licensed sellers remit a royalty % back to the hybridizer with every tuber or cutting purchase. For the consumer: Buyers of KA's® varieties can grow them, multiply them, trade them, gift them and donate them. They can sell blooms as cut flowers and collect and/or sell the seeds. If you wish to sell KA® tubers or have further questions about the trademark or royalty, please reach out to Santa Cruz Dahlias and contact the hybridizer, Kristine Albrecht. You can find that information here.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY: Unfortunately, due to the frenzied demand for dahlia varieties, certain people have forgotten their manners and this shows up in the customer service side following a sale. Please note the following:
If we receive an email or message that is threatening, has foul language directed toward us, or is in any other way abusive: we reserve the right to cancel and refund your orders. We are happy to address any issues you might have with an order, but we request that you remain respectful when you do so.
Growers have certain responsibilities to meet in terms of tuber quality and viability and we take these very seriously. However, we cannot control demand and we are a small family farm. If a tuber sells out and you can’t get it, this is not our fault. We are doing our best to expand our field to meet the demand for certain varieties, but currently the demand far outmatches the supply.
