Micro Flower Farm

Terms of service

Terms & Conditions

Thank you for supporting our small farm! Your happiness matters to us. These terms cover everything you buy from Micro Flower Farm: dahlia tubers, ranunculus and anemone corms, calendars and other printed goods, online courses, and anything else in our shop. When a product page gives its own details, such as a ship date or a limit, those details apply to that product too.

Orders

We don't support cart holds. Your order is only confirmed once you check out and receive an order number and confirmation email. Adding something to your cart does not reserve it.

Limits. We limit some items, such as rare dahlia varieties, so more people can get them. Limits are per household, not per person. If we suspect someone is using family, friends or other means to get around a limit, all of their orders may be cancelled and fully refunded.

Prices. Prices can change without notice. If we list something at the wrong price by mistake, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

Shipping

All orders ship by USPS, and we only ship within the USA.

When things ship depends on what you order:

  • Dahlia tubers ship in April, once temperatures no longer drop below freezing in your region. We do not offer early shipping.
  • Ranunculus and anemone corms ship in the window shown on each product page.
  • Calendars are preorders and ship in the window shown on the product page, mid-November to mid-December for the 2027 calendar.
  • Courses and webinar replays are delivered by email, with no shipping.
  • Items marked "In Person Sale Only" don't ship. They're for pickup at our in-person sales.

If your order includes items with different ship windows, we may send them separately.

Shipping cost is shown at checkout. For dahlia tuber orders, if you use the same email address and mailing address on more than one order, we automatically discount shipping on each later order and combine them. You'll see the discount before you check out. We will not combine orders after the fact if you used a different email or address.

Notifications and addresses. Entering the correct email and shipping address is your responsibility. We send shipping notices to the email used at checkout, and ship to the address entered with the order. We can't tell on our end whether an address is right, so please check it before ordering. We process thousands of orders each season, so please be patient. If your item's ship window hasn't ended and you haven't heard from us, your order is still on its way to being packed.

Delays and lost packages. Once a package leaves our farm, we have no control over how long the carrier takes or whether it gets lost. For a lost package, please contact USPS.

Plants, tubers and corms

Guarantee. We guarantee your dahlia tubers will be true to name and arrive with at least one eye and a healthy tuber body. We guarantee ranunculus and anemone corms will be true to name and arrive firm and healthy.

Check them when they arrive. Please inspect your order on arrival. Contact us at microflowerfarm@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery if anything concerns you, and include photos of the problem so we can help. After 7 days, you accept full responsibility for your plants.

What we don't refund. We do not refund for damage from bad weather, rot after planting, viruses, pests, poor growing conditions, neglect, or how a plant performs.

Plant health. The Washington State Department of Agriculture inspects and approves our tubers and fields. During the growing season we remove any plants showing signs of illness, sanitize tools between plants and clumps, and use organic methods to keep pests down. Still, plants can get sick like any living thing, and viruses can't be avoided completely. By buying, you accept this.

Calendars, prints and other goods

If a calendar, print or other item arrives damaged or misprinted, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we'll replace it or refund you. We don't accept returns of undamaged printed goods.

Courses and webinars

Courses and webinar replays are for your own personal use. Please don't share your access, recordings or materials. Because you get access right away, course and webinar purchases are non-refundable once you've been sent access.

Substitutions, replacements and cancellations

Substitutions. We do not substitute other items for anything we've run out of. If something happens to an item in storage between your order and shipping, we'll refund you for it.

Replacements. We can't always send a replacement. When we can't, we'll refund the full price of the item.

Cancellations. You can cancel within 2 weeks of placing your order. All cancellations are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Course and webinar purchases can't be cancelled once access has been sent.

Conduct

We take customer service seriously and treat every customer with respect and kindness, and we ask the same in return. If an email or message contains threats, verbal abuse or demeaning language, we may refuse service in the future.

Trademarked varieties

Some varieties we carry, such as KA® varieties, carry a trademark. As growers, we've signed a license agreement and send part of every sale of those varieties to the hybridizer, to compensate her for the years of work that went into them.

If you garden as a hobby, and trade or give away extra tubers or cuttings, or sell cut flowers, nothing changes for you. If you want to sell the tubers or cuttings of a trademarked variety, you need a license from the hybridizer to use its name. Licenses are easy to apply for, however many you grow, and the hybridizer's website has the details. If you have questions, email us at microflowerfarm@gmail.com.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted when you place your order applies to that order.
