Tuber Sale Terms & Conditions

TUBER GUARANTEE: Thank you for supporting our small farm! Your happiness is important to us! We guarantee your dahlia tubers will be true to ID and arrive in the mail with at least one eye, and a healthy tuber body.

REFUND POLICIES: Please inspect your tubers upon arrival and contact us at microflowerfarm@gmail.com within 7 days of your order arriving if you have any concerns about your tubers. Please include photos of the problems that you see, so we can best help you diagnosis and resolve any issues! Once the 7 days have passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers.

We do not refund for damage due to bad weather, rot once planted, viruses, pests, poor field conditions, negligence or plant performance.

VIRUS POLICIES: Our Tubers and Fields are inspected and approved by the Washington Department of Agriculture. We aggressively cull my field of any suspicious plants during the growing season, sanitize between plants and tuber clumps and use several organic methods to keep pests controlled. That being said, by purchasing you accept the fact that dahlias sometimes get sick, just like any other plant, and virus is not 100% avoidable.

DAHLIA TUBER SHIPPING: All orders are shipped using USPS flat rate mail. Unfortunately we can only ship within the USA and we cannot combine shipping, unless otherwise specifically stated. Tubers will ship in April once freezing temperatures are past in your region. We do not offer early shipping.

Shipping Cost: Shipping Cost is $15 per order. It's a flat rate cost, so the cost remains the same if you order 1 tuber, or you order 100 tubers in an order.

CART: Your order is only confirmed once you checkout and receive an order confirmation number and email. We do not accommodate cart holds.

LIMITS: We are limiting certain varieties to ensure more people can grow some of the rarer dahlias! This means a limit PER household, not per person. If we suspect that you are using family members, friends or other means to get around this limit, all your orders will be subject to cancellation and a full refund.

SUBSTITUTIONS: We do not offer substitutions due to stock loss. If something unexpected happens with storage between your order and shipping, we will refund you the price of the tuber(s).

REPLACEMENTS: Due to logistics, we do not offer replacement tubers. If a refund is warranted, we will refund the full purchase price.

CANCELLATIONS: We allow cancellations within 2 weeks of when the order was placed but all cancelled orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT: As a farm, we take our customer service very seriously.  We strive to treat every customer with respect and kindness and request that this is returned. If an email request or dm from a customer contains threats, verbal abuse, or demeaning language we reserve the right to refuse service in the future.

Varieties that carry Trademarks: We carry KA® varieties that have a trademark attached to the name. As a grower this means that we have signed a license agreement where we remit a % of every sale of those varieties back to the hybridizer to compensate her for the years of work she  did in creating these gorgeous varieties. What does this mean for you as a customer?

  • If you grow as a hobby, a gardener and trade or give away your extra tubers or cuttings or sell cut flowers, nothing has changed for you. Keep doing whatever you’ve been doing.

  • If you want to sell the tubers and/or cuttings of KA® varieties that carry a trademark, you will need a license from the hybridizer in order to use the trademarked name.  This is easy to apply for, no matter how few or many you want to grow. We encourage everyone interested to read the actual information directly at the hybridizer’s website which you can find here. If you have specific questions for me, I’m happy to answer them through email at microflowerfarm@gmail.com
